^Lot 628 Miroku / Charles Daly Superior Grade 20 Ga #S52204

Japanese made over-and-under box-lock double barrel shotgun chambered for 3" 20 Gauge shells, manufactured by Miroku. Featuring a blued finish, 26" vent ribbed barrels, fixed chokes marked for & measure Mod / Imp Cyl, black bead front sight, black mid-bead, serrated sliding tang safety and barrel selector, checkered top lever, single smooth curved gold-toned trigger, and ejectors. The gloss finished walnut stock consists of a semi-pistol gripped shoulder stock, checkered and grooved forend, 14" length-of-pull, 1-3/8" drop at comb, 2-1/2" drop at heel, black plastic grip cap with white spacer, and hard black plastic factory buttplate. The shotgun presents complete coverage of floral scrolls and edge designs on its receiver and smaller components. Bores are excellent and bright, and the action is tight with the top lever standing right of center. Furniture wood is excellent with few minor scattered scratches and dings. The original blued finish retained is approximately 99% with superficial blemishes. The grip cap and buttplate show imperfections, which are probably from age. The exact production date cannot be determined, but Miroku produced shotguns for Charles Daly from 1963 to 1976.
